Vintage Raleigh Tourist came in 22 inch, 24 inch and 28 inch models for men and 22 inch models for women. This was the only 28 inch model made by Raleigh to be released in the United States. These bikes were black with red and gold striping.
Vintage Raleigh Tourist bikes were made to look like those used by the police in London. They featured the North Road handlebars and roller lever brakes. The bike had Sturmey Archer 3 speed gears. The bike had the Brook’s B72 saddle which was used on many Raleigh models. The Brook’s B72 saddle was the first suspension system available in a bike. The bike featured a 6 ½ inch crank with 45 teeth. The bike had Union 620 pedals.
